INTRODUCTION

These Terms and Conditions of Use ("the Terms and Conditions") are binding on all persons that access the website located at resilientminds.com ("the Website") owned by Resilient Minds, LLC without qualifications or exceptions. By entering the Website, the user of this Website ("User") agrees to be bound by and shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions, which the User acknowledges to have read and understood. If the User does not agree to any of the Terms and Conditions, the User may not enter, view or make use of the Website.  All website content is owned by Resilient Minds, LLC and may not be used or reproduced by any one other that Resilient Minds, LLC.
  2. The owners, webmasters, and authors of resilientminds.com reserve the right to make any changes to the Website, its content and/or services offered through the Website at any time by providing notice through the Website.


SERVICES

  1. resilientminds.com agrees to provide a Website where mental health professionals can be found, general information, and therapeutic support services. All of the services provided by resilientminds.com are subject to the terms and conditions of this agreement. User hereby agrees to abide by these terms and conditions.
  2. User agree that any services rendered from Resilient Minds, LLC are for personal insight only and not meant as medical advice or any kind of diagnosis. User will not hold resilientminds.com and/or Resilient Minds, LLC or any individual counselors contracted with Resilient Minds, LLC responsible for any events that may result from participating in services rendered from Resilient Minds, LLC. I agree not to litigate or hire counsel to litigate against Resilient Minds, LLC or any of the counselors who are under contract with Resilient Minds, LLC.
  3. Services provided are designed for Users 18 and older. Parent or Guardian acknowledges and accepts the Terms and Conditions of resilientminds.com for those under 18 years of age.


POTENTIAL RISKS

  1. User agrees that there are potential risks to engaging in online therapy.
  2. User agrees that online therapy may experience uncomfortable feelings such as, but not limited to, sadness, guilt, anxiety, anger, and frustration. Unpleasant aspects of User's life may be discussed, and this can cause discomfort.
  3. User agrees that depending on the equipment used between User and online therapist, they may not be able to fully perceive clues important to assessment or treatment planning.
  4. User agrees that relying on non-visual information (e.g., chatting) may not provide full information to the online therapist.
  5. User agrees that there are limits to online confidentiality that are outside the control of Resilient Minds, LLC.
  6. User agrees that there is a possibility that Insurance Companies may not reimburse or authorize online mental health treatment.


POTENTIAL BENEFITS

  1. User agrees that there are potential benefits to online therapy.
  2. User agrees that online therapy may offer a variety of formats of communication that allow for greater freedom of expression.
  3. User agrees that non-visual information methods of communicating may allow User to express in a more honest manner.
  4. User agrees that online therapy may be the best alternative for individuals who have no access to face-to-face therapist for whatever reason.


EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

  1. User agrees that it is their obligation to rely on proper equipment to maximize the potential benefits and minimize the potential risks of online therapy.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

  1. User agrees to a fee for services set by the online therapist.
  2. User agrees to own the method of payment (e.g., credit card or debit card) or have permission of the card owner to use it.
  3. User agrees the fee will be kept if User is 15 or more minutes late for session.
  4. User agrees that if a session is cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, the session can be rescheduled.
